Here at Portraiture by Michael Cox, we understand that your engagement portrait is going to be the beginning of your new adventure in your life. We want to document this special time for you and begin capturing memories that will last a lifetime!

To ensure your portrait is as beautiful as can be, try to follow these suggested guidelines:

1. Schedule your portrait a minimum of 6 to 10 weeks prior to your wedding date. The sooner the better! This allows adequate time for processing and selecting your favorite images.

2. Choose outfits that suite your personality and make you fill attractive! Make sure you create color harmony and both outfits coordinate well together. ( Check the Planning the Proper Clothing for your Engagement Portrait ) included with your information packet.

3. Don’t worry about the location! Once you chose your wardrobe and schedule an appointment, we will discuss location and time with you. We have access to some locations or if you have a location you would like to be photographed in, please let us know.

4. Start thinking about props! This can make your photograph unique.

5. Become alert of interesting photographs. Look out for romantic postcards or magazines advertisements.

6. Keep in mind that many couples chose to utilize their Engagement Portrait to display at their reception ( perhaps in our designer Signature Frame ), or to include in your invitations, or to distribute framed as the perfect party favor or bridal party gifts.

7. Have Fun!!!

A nonrefundable retainer of $500.00 is required to reserve your wedding date. This is on a first come, first serve basis, as we book our dates far in advance. This retainer will be deducted from your Total pricing level. The balance of your level is divided into 3 payments: the first payment is due 30 days from the time of booking. The last payment is due 14 days prior to your wedding date.

Your beautifully framed portrait greets your guests as they arrive, allowing them to sign in with style. The complete kit includes the designer frame, signature mat (customized with your name and wedding date), one custom 11x14 portrait, with a gold or silver pen………......................................................................................................................$195.00

With each Wedding Package (except The Economy Package) you will receive a personal bridal web page, displaying all of your most exciting images from your wedding and reception. All the images from the wedding will be online for anyone that would like to order prints.

All the Engagement Sessions come with a 8 photograph folio.  You can choose from a scenic outdoor setting are a setting of your choice. Many of our couples have experienced the pleasure of displaying a beautiful engagement portrait with a special signature mat for all the guests to sign at their reception. The Signature Engagement Portrait of your favorite image produced as an 11x14 retouched and mounted photograph which is surrounded by a 20x24 mat that is specially designed for signatures of family and friends.

Standard retouching is included in the Wedding Portraits. If heavy artwork is needed, an additional retouching fee may apply. Estimates are given by the lab and will be given to you for approval prior to any work being preformed. Special art work can also be done such as adding or removing objects, changing a background, props, swapping heads or faces, etc……

Digital Proof Books come with every wedding (Except the a la carte). The books are of your photographs taken at your wedding and reception. Each photograph is numbered for your ease of ordering.

The proof books are also available from your bridal and engagement session at $75.00 per book. You receive one book for free with each sitting.

The Parent Album may be purchased individually from any of the below collections at these special prices. Each album comes with 24 of your favorite images.

Shipping of all print orders up to ten (10) 8x10’s or smaller is $10.00. Larger Prints 11x14 and up are $25.00 to $35.00. Shipping charges for Wedding Album Orders are $85.00 . This includes shipping and handling plus insurance for each package.

Using special design techniques, Michael Cox will advise in the layout of the album(s), however all choices by the client will prevail. Album orders will include choice of photographs selected and these are made following inspection of the captured images. Delivery of the hand-assembled album(s) ordinarily occurs within 16-18 weeks after the receipt of the order. This time may very based upon the size of the album(s)
